The Matter Details topic enables users to produce reports about Matters that have been raised in the LPG. |
Overview
The Matter Details topic contains all relevant information about Matters that have been raised by Claims Service Providers (CSPs) in the LPG. Once an engagement has been issued to a Legal Service Providers (LSPs), the Matter that the engagement was issued for will be included in the Matter Details topic for the LSP.
This topic can be used to generate different types of reports to meet operational and analytical needs, putting the power in the hands out individual user to define their own requirements and then schedule these reports to be automatically processed and delivered.
At the simplest level, lists of Matters that satisfy user-defined criteria can be produced (ie Matters for a particular Area of Law that were created over five years ago but are still active).
Crosstabs can also be defined that allow users to look at interactions of different variables (eg How many Matters are being managed by each Matter Manager)
Charts can provide a visual representation of results (eg How many matters started in last two years have active engagements)

The number of currently active Invoices (not completed or cancelled) raised against the Matter |

The number of Engagement where a Conflict of Interest was identified |

Filters
The Matter Details topic contains all Matters that have been raised in the LPG but only allows access to Matter details that the user are permissioned to view through the LPG.
When using the topic to create an Ad Hoc view, users have the ability to restrict the data that will be retrieved via the following input controls (filters):

Enable user to determine whether they wish to specify an ‘Matter Creation Date’ range OR they can select for Matters created in the ‘Last Week’ (Matter with a Create date in the previous week) Or ‘Last Month’ (Matter with a Create date in the previous calendar month) Or Matter created in the ‘Last Year’ – (Matters with a Create date in the previous calendar year). |
Date From |
If ‘Date option’ is set to ‘Matter Creation Date’ OR ‘Matter Start Date’ OR ‘Matter Created Date or Matter Start Date’, ‘Date From’ must be specified to retrieve results. All Matters with a Matter Creation date or Matter Start Date (depending on date option choice) after this date will be included. Please select from the calendar icon to ensure date format is correct. |
Invoice Issued To |
If ‘Date option’ is set to ‘Matter Creation Date’ OR ‘Matter Start Date’ OR ‘Matter Created Date or Matter Start Date’, all Matters with a Creation date OR Start date (depending on date option choice) prior to this date will be included. Please select from the calendar icon to ensure date format is correct. |
Client |
Select one or more of the listed Clients – all invoices raised against Engagements issued by the selected Clients will be included. |
Panel Type |
Select one or more of the listed Panel Types – all Matters containing Engagements issued for the selected Panel Types will be included. |
Area of Law |
Select one or more of the listed Areas of Law – all Matters containing Engagements issued for the selected Areas of Law will be included. |
Matter Status |
Select one or more of the listed Matter Statuses – all Matters with the selected statuses will be included. |
Note:
- Where selection lists are presented to filter by, if no selections are made, the system will assume all available choices are required.
- If multiple input criteria are selected, only Matters satisfying all selections will be listed.
