Who: |
System Administrator, HR Administrator |
When: |
A LPG User’s information needs to be changed. |
Before you begin
- Only users with the HR Admin or Sys Admin roles can edit the User (or Person) details.
Procedure
- On the LPG menu select Users > Find Users.
The User List screen appears.
- Enter search criteria required to find the person (e.g. Username).
- Click the Submit
The list of Users matching the search criteria is displayed below the Submit button.
- Click the Edit link next to the User whose details need to be edited.
The Edit User screen appears.
- N1 - The View History tab shows actions applied to this User (e.g. modified details, password resets).
- N2 - The list of roles assigned to this User. Monetary figures in brackets are the approval limits assigned to this User for the particular role. In the example shown above, the User can approve Invoices up to $10,000 in their role as Customer Accounts. The icon indicates that the role will receive automated email notifications. The icon indicates that the User is a supervisor in this role. It means they can reassign tasks from one member of the group to another. The icon indicates that the User is a member (not a supervisor) in this role.
- Edit the User information as required.
IMPORTANT: At least one Invoiced Entity must be selected. The correct Invoiced Entities must be selected in order to see and action Orders associated with that Invoiced Entity. Even if the User is in the correct Workgroup for an Order, if they are not associated with the correct Invoiced Entity, they will be unable to see the Order. |
- Scroll to the bottom of the Edit User screen and click the Submit
The Reset button closes the Edit User screen without saving any changes you have made. |
The display returns to the User List screen.
Tips & Troubleshooting
The Person List includes persons who are not necessarily entered in the system as LPG Users. When an Order is created, the person requesting the Order (Requested By field) does not have to be an LPG User but they must be defined in the Person table. If a search using the User List cannot find the person, try searching using the Person List. |
